Are You Green Naturally?

The Naturist Society welcomes the greening of naturism. Or maybe we should say, "the re-greening of naturism," for naturism has its roots in a green worldview. Naturism is about much more than clothing-optional recreation. It's a natural way of living. And recognizing our interdependency with Nature, we as naturists can affirm the goodness of being and appearing fully human while acknowledging our need to tread wisely and kindly on the Earth. To this end TNS wishes to cultivate a heightened respect for Nature. Of late we are seeing fellow members contribute articles to N , workshops at gatherings and festivals, and ideas for special events...all addressing ways of living humanly rich and ecologically-friendly lives.

One step to the greening of naturism is TNS' new Ecotique. Living simply is surely a core value of nude and natural living, but if you need an item and can choose one that impacts the planet lightly, then we are a step forward to environmental well-being. TNS' Ecotique features items that benefit both human users and the Earth, with organic materials and innovative designs that keep present needs and future generations in mind. Check us out. And since you have the choice, why not go green naturally?

Economy got you down? Can't afford gas to take a "nude vacation?" Well, you can celebrate Nude Recreation Week 2008 at your nearest beach, or even in your own backyard!

Dateline Oshkosh, WI

We've said it before, and it bares repeating. Nude Recreation is wholesome, family-oriented, and just plain fun. Join us for Nude Recreation Week July 7-13, 2008 at resorts and beaches nationwide.

The Naturist Society, the 20,000-member organization based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin has been "Lighting the Way Since 1980." Thousands of people will be enjoying their favorite leisure time activities without clothes in a stress-free, safe, and friendly environment.

"The growth in popularity and acceptance of nude recreation is phenomenal," states Nicky Hoffman Lee, spokesperson for The Naturist Society. According to a Roper Poll, commissioned by the Naturist Education Foundation in 2006, 51 million Americans have been to a nude beach at one time or another.

Nude beach groups and naturist resorts around the country will sponsor a wide range of activities in honor of Nude Recreation Week, including art shows, antique car shows, campouts, 'canuding' trips, beach cleanups, beach parties, health fairs and other social and community-supporting events.

"Don't make assumptions about naturism until you've given it a try," concludes Ms. Lee, "It's the best way to feel comfortable in your own skin."

Welcome To The Naturist Society!

Everyone's first moments are without clothes, and The Naturist Society believes nudity is still the natural and best way to be.

Let's face it. Skinny-dipping is fun! More and more people are giving it a try and loving it. Nude resorts and beaches are reporting record usage as people everywhere embrace the sincerity of their hearts and bodies. TNS is dedicated to supporting naturist access in North America, and TNS members give us the strength to do it.

We think family-friendly nude recreation is great. We also understand that a lot of people have questions about it. So we are committed to providing the most accurate, up-to-date information to naturists, the general public, business leaders, and legislators about the good-natured fun that is naturism. It's all summed up in our slogan: Body Acceptance is the Idea, Nude Recreation is the Way..

A member organization formed in 1980, TNS welcomes both lifelong naturists (sometimes called nudists) and the first-time visitor to a nude beach or resort. If simple, family-friendly naturism is what you're after, you've come to the right place.
