Pages of Nudist History—A n Zoom Event Series
September 10, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - June 10, 2021 @ 9:00 pm

A new series of free teleconferences on vintage nudist books is now available to members of The Naturist Society Foundation: Pages of Nudist History. N writer and consulting editor Mark Storey will host (volunteers are encouraged to apply for hosting duty—email: mstorey@naturistsociety.com with request) and TNSF will facilitate one online discussion per month on ten books from the early years of organized American nudism. Learn about key players and events in nudist history, from the United States and abroad. Focus will be on how Germany, France, and England contributed to nudism (and naturism) as we know it in the United States, how organized club nudism developed here, and what justifications nudists offered in support of social nudity.
Participants are encouraged to obtain and read copies of each book in advance of teleconferences, but any TNSF member can join in not yet having access to the text. Share your opinion and insight, or sit back quietly and relax. Join us for any one or two meetings, or attend them all.
Teleconferences will be held using the Zoom conferencing service. See zoom.us to find out how easy (and free) it is to use. TNSF members must provide the TNSF office their email address so that an email may be sent to announce each online meeting, and to provide a specific invitation code to that month’s teleconference. TNSF will not give or sell your email address to anyone else; but your address is required to obtain the needed invitation code.
Each month’s online meeting will last no more than 60 minutes. Storey will have background information to offer for each book and the nudists it addresses, as well as analysis of the nudist history each book offers. Most of these books are hard to find (try amazon.com, ebay.com, and abebooks.com), and many are quite expensive, so not everyone will have read the month’s text prior to the meeting. That’s okay; you can still choose to be part of the conversation.
These online Zoom meetings will be held in the early evening (8:00 pm Central Time) of the second Thursday of each month. The schedule of Pages of Nudist History meetings and the books discussed is as follows:
